Why You Need to Watch ‘Inside Missguided: Made in Manchester’

Although spellcheck is telling me otherwise, Missguided isn’t incorrectly spelt – in fact it’s fully-fledged fast fashion brand and can perhaps be famously remembered for their £1 bikini? The brand is located in the city of Manchester, residing alongside it’s online rivals; Boohoo, Pretty Little Thing and In The Style so I guess Manchester can be regarded as an empire for fast fashion.

Finding Your Go-To Comfy & Casual Uniform

We’ve all been there, stood in front of the wardrobe and thinking ‘what on earth am I going to wear’. At the moment, the focus is on comfort for our working from home days. Lounge wear is GREAT and definitely ‘fashion trend’ at the moment but sometimes getting *properly* dressed can work wonders too. I haven’t gone as far as wearing make-up daily though.

The UK is in the ‘spring to summer’ fashion period. One day it’ll be a scorcher, the next day we’ll be searching for the jumpers. I’ve never found Spring/Summer fashion an easy balance to strike and typically, the one day I decide to wear a cute summer dress, its WAY too windy. By doing so, I’m hoping to have some classic ‘go-to’ outfits and of course, have less of an impact upon the bank balance!

How to Feel More Body Confident

As I’m writing this, it’s been a very chilled Sunday afternoon of pretty much doing nothing. I’d caught up on all the series I’ve been watching, so picked the first thing Netflix’s ‘Top Picks’ list, ‘I Feel Pretty’ & as it turns out a Netflix rom-com was just what I needed. But, the underlying message of ‘everyone is beautiful’ in this film has got me thinking.

I’m on my own lil journey towards ‘body confidence’ (as I’m sure we all are!), but here’s a few ways that might help along the way…

The Summer to Autumn Capsule Wardrobe

So we’ve hit the point in August where everything is just really rainy & cold haven’t we? We’re still clinging onto the summer clothes in our wardrobe with the hope that it will eventually brighten up & the sunshine will return, but we need a jumper to be at the ready for when it’s freezing in the house because you’re DEFINITELY not putting the heating on during summer.
